The transformation of Indonesia's judicial system aims to create a fast, simple, and low-cost judiciary, in accordance with the principles promised by the state to the public. One of the most important innovations in this transformation is the implementation of Electronic Mediation (E-Mediation), which was introduced in Supreme Court Regulation (PERMA) Number 3 of 2022. E-Mediation allows for dispute resolution without having to meet face-to-face, eliminates geographical and procedural barriers, and reduces costs that are usually borne by the disputing party. The system also speeds up the mediation process by eliminating the need for travel and accommodation costs. This article aims to analyze the implementation of E-Mediation in the context of the Indonesian justice system, as well as its impact on the principles of fast, simple, and low-cost justice, with a focus on broader and more inclusive access to justice for the community.
